Information for students participating in University of Redlands commencement ceremonies. More details about the graduation application, ADA accessibility requests, academic regalia, and more.
Approval to participate in Commencement
Students must first complete the Application for Graduation (in Etrieve). Upon its submission, the Registrar's Office will review student's eligibility for participation in Commencement.
Eligible students will be invited to RSVP to the undergraduate or graduate ceremony. A link to RSPV from the Tassel website will be emailed to their Redlands email address.
Students must RSVP by April 1 to ensure their information is included in the Commencement materials.
Students who have not received their invitation to commencement by March 1 should contact the Registrar’s Office at registrar@redlands.edu.
Student schedule
All students have Commencement Rehearsal and MGSA-sponsored Senior Toast on April 22, 4:00 p.m. at Ted Runner Stadium.
On Commencement Day, April 24, check-in to pick up your card in the Valencia Room in University Hall starting one hour before your ceremony:
- Undergraduate ceremony check-in: 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. (for 9:00 a.m. ceremony start)
- Graduate ceremony check-in: 4:00 – 4:45 p.m. (for 5:00 p.m. ceremony start)
Accommodation requests
Students who need accommodations to participate in the Commencement Ceremony should complete this Accommodation Request Form (new ink will be updated soon) to let us know what accommodations are needed. Deadline for accommodation requests is Friday, April 10, 2026.
Students with mobility accommodations are encouraged to park in the designated ADA parking area at Ted Runner Stadium. The vehicle must have a current ADA placard or license plate to park in the designated area.
The university will also dispatch golf carts to exterior campus lots. Look for signage with a phone number to call and request a cart ride.
Cap & Gown and other memorabilia
Cap & Gown:
Caps, gowns, hoods, tams, and tassels are available for purchase at the University Bookstore on the Redlands campus beginning March 5, 2026 through the day before Commencement.
If you are not able to come to the Bookstore in person, you can purchase regalia and have it shipped to your home by going to this link. Note in-person pick-up is not available through this site.
If you would like to purchase a sash, you can order them on the Bookstore website.
To prevent sizes from becoming unavailable, please purchase your regalia as soon as possible.
Announcements and class rings:
Announcements and class rings can be ordered online at Herff Jones.
Commencement flowers:
Parents and guests are encouraged to pre-order and pick up prior to the ceremony to ensure that students can wear their leis across the stage for their photos.
Pre-order flowers and grad gifts for your graduate through easy pick-up right outside Ted Runner Stadium. Use the pre-order link through Commencement Group.
Professional photographer from Grad Images:
A professional photographer from Grad Images will be at the Commencement ceremony.
Each student will receive proofs and order forms by email directly from Grad Images within 72 hours after the ceremony.
Students can preregister via the Grad Images website. Register now or before the ceremony and receive a 20% off coupon.
Bookstore discount:
10% off for graduates
*Good for one school sprit item during the Grad Fair event in the bookstore on March 5th, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Discount does not apply to commencement regalia, adopted textbooks, special orders, sale books, class and alumni rings, computer software, headphones, periodicals, discounted merchandise, computer hardware, health and beauty aids, or food snacks and beverages.
